Summer is Over!

I can't believe how quickly summer went! We started off with going to Zions over Memorial weekend and ended with a weekend golf trip to Mesquite.
In between, we stayed busy playing and working. Bryce had a great baseball season with Brion as his coach. They had fun at the state tournament. You can see pictures on his baseball blog.
Our fun family trip this summer was at Lake Powell. We went with the Bushman's on their houseboat. It was a blast! Bryce learned to wakeboard this year and got tons of practice on this trip. He learned how to jump the wake! Jared learned to kneeboard. He tried to wakeboard, but didn't like falling. I tried the air chair--loved it! Brion, Bryce, and I tried to wake surf. Brion was pretty good at it!
I only did a few races this year. In May, I raced at the St George triathlon (sprint distance). In June, I race the Vikingman half ironman distance. That was a crazy race! I also raced the tour de donut in American Fork in July. It was a 21 mile bike race, with a stop every 7 miles to eat donuts. For every donut eaten, 3 minutes was deducted from the time. Finally, a race designed for me!
Bryce and I have been enjoying more biking this summer. Bryce got my old mountain bike and I got a new one. We have been biking at Lambert Park. I posted a pic of the kids with Grandpa. He came one day on the quad and drove Jared around while Bryce and I biked.
Lauri and her family visited this summer and we spent some time on the boat with them. Bryce and Jared always love a visit from their cousins.
